New ST-510 "Light" Multi-Site Roaming Switch perfect for small-to-medium-sized system operators
SmarTrunk Systems has announced the availability of the ST-510 Light ("ST-510LT") roaming switch for those customers who need to do multi-site roaming but do not need the more advanced telephony features of the ST-510. This new entry level product allows mobile radio dealers and system operators to start out with a simple wide area multi-site roaming system of one or more channels at each site while retaining the flexibility to upgrade with voice features at any time in the future.

The operator provides his own CPU but can save as much as 30-40% on the cost of the initial system. The ST-510LT further supports the SmarTrunk advantage of building your system in building-block fashion, allowing you to purchase only what you need to meet your budgetary constraints while allowing for later expansion.

The ST-510LT supports the latest 3rd-Generation features including Late-to-Join or Lost Radio Group Rejoin capability and Automatic User Registration at a new site or upon radio "power on".

"If you decide that you'd like to add features like voice mail, call forwarding, call transfer, a dispatch console, radio emergency alert compatibility, voice logging or remote telemetry, you can upgrade to the full-featured ST-510 CPU and still utilize your initial SmarTrunk equipment in-vestment," said Joe Baños, president of Smar-Trunk Systems, Inc. "This product will be of special interest to two-way radio dealers who operate their own systems, rent radios and sell airtime or those who sell stand-alone systems to end-users," added Baños. "One of SmarTrunk's strengths in the marketplace is being able to offer systems to small- or medium-sized operators, with the option to add features as they grow."

New 3rd-Generation advancements create an even more robust offering against LTR

SmarTrunk's new 3rd-Generation services level the playing field between the robust Smar-Trunk IITM Trunking Protocol and LTR. With new advancements like Automatic User Registration at a new site or upon radio "power on", Virtual (one-time) groups joined on a single channel, Late-to-Join or Lost Radio Group Rejoin capabilities, SmarTrunk offers you a feature-rich, reasonably priced trunking system at a fraction of the cost of competitive systems. Because the SmarTrunk IITM Protocol is "decentralized," the system does not require exclusive channels so many find that they can implement a Smartrunk radio system in situations where exclusive licenses are not available.

Whether you are a dealer, system operator or an industrial end-user, you can implement SmarTrunk infrastructure today that can grow with your needs. You can also choose from many voice calling feature options such as Voice Mail, Caller ID, Voice Encryption, Call Transfer, Call Forwarding-many such features that were once thought only available from wireless carriers.

New Comprehensive Product Brochure
available today--Call for your free copy!

SmarTrunk Systems, Inc. announced that its new comprehensive 2004 Product Brochure is available upon request. The brochure summarizes the benefits of the ST-853 controller, The ST-510 network switch, the ST-100N multiplexer and various SmarTrunk logic boards that easily install into various brand radios. It also includes a helpful diagram of a typical SmarTrunk system so dealers and end-users can fully view and understand what specifications are needed to build a new system and how easy it is to integrate a trunked system into your existing communications system.

The brochure also includes a handy product list on the back, so prospects can locate the appropriate logic boards that are compatible with specific-brand radios. "We designed this brochure to give our customers and prospects a clear understanding of how the system works, what equipment is needed and the unique benefits of choosing SmarTrunk over our competitors," said Joe Baños, president of SmarTrunk Systems, Inc.

The ST-100N multiplexer also makes its debut in this brochure. The various linking options available to system operators and the built-in remote site telemetry ports are just two of the many benefits listed for the multiplexer in this brochure.
